Travel Made Easy with Avion

Something that I went into this year wanting to do more was to travel. I have a major bug to hop on a plane and go somewhere new. It's been a bit too long for me, this last year we've been focusing on making our home comfortable and welcoming Millie into our family. But now I'm ready to take the girls on some fun adventures, and hopefully get our butts back to Australia to catch up with all of our family there!

Lindsay and I are partnering with RBC Avion to share the benefits of the  RBC Avion Visa Infinite travel rewards credit card, and I'm honestly so excited about it. I've had another credit card for years that has slowly been earning points, but the points have no benefit to me, and it's been so difficult anytime I’ve actually tried to redeem for travel. Since learning about the benefits and rewards that come along with being an Avioner I'm actually a little bit surprised that I hadn't looked into this sooner. Signing up for it was simple, and redeeming the points was even simpler.

Actually so simple. I was so surprised because usually, these things aren't so black and white! To redeem for my trip to California, I simply logged into my RBC rewards account and was able to book the exact flights and dates I wanted, without any flight restrictions or blackout dates. I was also able to earn extra points when I booked our car rental using my Avion Visa Infinite Avion card. When traveling with kids it tends to get a little bit more expensive, so it really helps when you can actually cover travel costs with your points.  Plus, since Millie is under the age of 2, she can fly for free which is also great.

The RBC Visa Infinite Avion card is a travel rewards  card designed to help you see the world on points. Unlike some other travel rewards credit cards, Avioners have the flexibility to travel how they want and when they want without any flight/airline restrictions, blackout dates or routes that force you into unnecessary stopovers. You collect 1 point for every dollar spent and 1.25 points per dollar spent on travel-related purchases, like flights, taxis and hotels. As a traveller to the USA often I also love that you get Premium travel insurance when you book with your RBC Visa Infinite Avion credit card. I've always purchased the basic travel insurance so this was a no-brainer for me, especially when travelling with kiddos.

Linds, Millie and I are packing our bags and heading to Palm Springs in a few weeks. I couldn't be more excited! I'm a little bit nervous about travelling with Millie, I've never flown on my own with a baby before. Basically planning to pack as light as possible, if you have any tips for me, please let me know in the comments! It's going to be a blast, I love the experience of travelling with kids and seeing the world through their eyes. Maybe not so much with Millie at this age, but you know what I mean ;)
