Last week we had such a nice getaway in this incredibly cozy cabin called Rainbow Trout Resort at Louis Creek, here is the link to book. We found this beautiful stay on Glamping Hub! This place is perfect for large families or a big group of friends. Between the 3 cabins next to each other it can sleep 26 people, aaaand there's a hot tub, so it's pretty ideal for a winter (or summer) getaway. The main cabin (pictured here) has a wood burning fire we all enjoyed after a snowy hot tub and the cabin is just steps from the lake. The lake was frozen and Lindsay and Chris skated on it and went snowshoeing as well ( Which are provided at the cabin!). I'd love to experience this place in the summertime as well, it would be so different in the sunshine with a fresh lake.
How beautiful is this open concept! It was perfect for the kiddos to run around and keep each other entertained. We invited some of our close friends Kir, Andy and their boy Casper and Ben, Michelle and their baby girl Frances. There were lots of dance parties, late night chats and baby cuddles.
We haven't really had any snow in Vancouver yet this winter, so we were so excited to get to play in some fresh, deep snow. We all bundled up and built a snowman and did some tobogganing as well.
No better place to drink white wine and have long chats with friends than in a hot tub. We had a couple really good hot tub sessions as well as snow angel sessions
We made a big meal plan beforehand and each couple took turns cooking, it worked so well. This huge kitchen was a DREAM compared to my apartment where everything is mini. I baked some cinnamon buns that were soooo good. I was just thinking about making these again today. (recipe here because you'll want to bookmark this one.)
This was by far one of my favourite rentals that I would come back to in a heartbeat. We may have to bring our whole family back here next winter, we're always looking for places big enough for all of us! It's super cozy, quiet and relaxing. Just the trip we needed!
